Master Gower’s training began in May of 1998 under the auspices of the International Tae Kwon Do Federation (ITF).  Shortly after acheiving the rank of Brown Belt, a move to Leesburg, VA in March of 2000 led not only to a new school, but to a new training style and criteria under the Kukkiwon/WTF.  He was certified as a 4th Degree Black Belt by the World Tae Kwon Do Federation (WTF) in April of 2009, and by the World Tae Kwon Moo Do Federation (WTMF) in September 2008.  Master Gower received his International Masters License (no. 3619046) from the Kukkiwon (Tae Kwon Do world headquarters located in Seoul South Korea) and his Master Instructor's License (no. 31006045) from the USTC (United States Tae Kwon Do Committee) in May of 2010.    Master Gower continues to train under his instructor, Master Gerville Hall (WTF and WTMF 6th degree Black Belt).  Master Gower has participated in and has served as a judge in multiple tournaments including the Virginia State Championship. He holds a class D-3 Referee Certification issued by USATaekwondo (formerly United States Tae Kwon Do Union).

Most recently in October 2010 he began training in Gracie Jiu-Jitsu (Gracie Combatives) earning his Blue Belt in January 2012.
